History of WhyKnot Massage
As a newly licensed therapist, WhyKnot Massage owner and CEO, Crystal Cliff, recognized the need for a company that served as a central point of contact for individuals, local businesses, and corporations interested in hiring Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapists (L.M.B.T.) to perform a variety of massage therapy services. As Ms. Cliff was already providing this service and referring other colleagues to assist with massage jobs, the creation of WhyKnot Massage was a natural evolution.
Originally named WhyKnot Staffing, WhyKnot Massage (WKM) was officially opened in December 2005. The goal of WKM is to provide professional massage therapy services by qualified and licensed therapists. In addition, WhyKnot’s objective is to establish a standard rate of pay for the skilled service that L.M.B.T.s provide in Charlotte and the surrounding area. Since its inception, WKM has always held to the standard of providing outstanding customer service coupled with exceptional massage therapy skills.
WhyKnot Massage firmly believes that every client is an individual with pains and concerns unique only to them. The therapists working with WKM provide treatment, no matter the venue, that is specifically tailored to the needs of the client. Our therapists include a personal evaluation and postural assessment with each initial session which gives the therapist a blueprint of the client’s life and offers clues as to causes of pain, postural distortions, and cellular memory patterns. Working with these “body clues”, the therapist may then use a variety of massage modalities and techniques to tap into the innate healing of the client.
The teamwork between client and therapist is essential for efficient and whole body healing. Whether this process is initiated in a 10-minute chair massage or fully developed over the course of several individual sessions, WKM therapists approach each client with an attitude of healing and the opportunity to experience an alternative journey.
