Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT)
Utilization of direct pressure and various focused techniques to correct, treat, and heal acute or chronic injuries, repetitive stress or sport injuries, and occupational injuries. Conditions that may benefit from NMT include but are not limited to: chronic neck, back, shoulder pain, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, migraine headaches, Sciatica, TMJ dysfunctions, etc.
Evaluation of the body in relation to three spatial planes. Postural distortions off of these planes indicate muscle weakness often resulting from compensation of the body during repetitive daily activities or following injuries and surgeries. These distortions can cause significant chronic pain and lead to future injury. Following postural assessment and brief client interview, the massage therapist will formulate a treatment plan specific to the client’s individual needs and concerns.
